The Commonwealth of Virginia, Board for Asbestos, Lead, and Home Inspectors has received statutory authority from the Virginia General Assembly to promulgate regulations to implement an RRP regulatory program in Virginia. Virginia plans to apply for EPA state accreditation as a part of implementing the RRP regulatory program.
The Notice of Intended Regulatory Action step has been completed and RRP regulations are under development. The best way to keep track of their progress is to visit www.townhall.virginia.gov and sign up to receive e-mails announcing each promulgation step. The next step is to publish proposed regulations for public comment. No reliable timeline presently available.
